However, if you’re gunning to be a ruler, you should naturally opt to make your own faction. What you choose here is ultimately up to you. If you choose to give the Dragon Banner to Isitania, you’ll have the choice of either creating your own, new faction, or support an existing one.

    The only difference, albeit a major one, is whether or not you want to side the Empire. You’ll still have to collect men, make your settlement, etc. Gameplay-wise, it’s more or less the same. Whether you give the Dragon Banner to Arzagos or Isitania depends on whether you want to destroy the Empire or support it. When you have your kingdom, you can engage in diplomacy or war with others, raise your influence, etc. However, it’s not at all the end of the game. You’ll have to gather 100 Soldiers, a Clan of level 3, and, naturally, make your own settlement.

    Whichever faction you choose to give the Dragon Banner to, the rest of the process is relatively the same. Once you have those, you’ll have a choice of who you’re going to give the banner to, Arzagos or Istiana (more on that in a bit).

    After that, you’ll get a series of quests that will lead you to three Dragon Banner pieces. This mission requires you to find and speak with ten Nobles, and they are scattered all across the map. To create your own kingdom in Mount & Blade 2 Bannerlord, you first have to push through the main story quests until you get and complete the Neretzes’s Folly quest.
